Local families who are experienced with dietary intervention

This list contains the names and contact info for volunteers who are willing to provide support for local families who are implementing or maintaining a gluten and dairy free diet for their autistic children.

These volunteers are generally not medical professionals, and are not affiliated with ANDI. We accept no responsibility for the views or opinions of those listed below.

Note: People get so much SPAM and junk mail that they may be reluctant to open mail from an unknown person. Be sure to put the words "ANDI Pass Question' in the subject line of any email you send to a PASS member. Would you like to join the PASS list? We would love to include you. We believe that effective PASS members will:

Have at least three months experience with the strict implementation of a GF/CF diet.
Be familiar with Lisa Lewis's Special Diets for Special Kids or Karyn Seroussi's Unraveling the Mystery of Autism, and understand the biological theories behind the diet.
Stay abreast of new developments, products, and research related to dietary intervention by subscribing to the ANDI News.

Please send your name, address/zip, phone (for our records only) and e-mail address, to: ANDInews@aol.com. Please indicate whether a local autism-diet support group exists in your area.

If a large number of people in your area are doing the diet, you might want to consider starting a local support group. Fire houses, schools, churches, and community centers will often have meeting rooms for use at no charge. Schedule regular monthly meetings (i.e. the 3rd Thursday of every month) and ask that everyone copy a favorite recipe or bring baked goods to pass around. Enlisting the cooperation of a natural food store, your group may be able to save money by buying in bulk, often at wholesale prices.
